Boardwell (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the boardwell.co website and application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Google Sign-In or magic link). This information is used to identify you within the application and send you relevant notifications.

Building & Meeting Data

Data you enter into Boardwell — building details, meeting notes, topics, action items, decisions, and member information — is stored securely in our database. This data belongs to you and the members of your building.

Email Data

If you use the building inbox feature (Pro plan), emails sent to your building's Boardwell address are stored in our system. We do not read or analyze the content of your emails for advertising purposes.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics (via PostHog) to understand how the application is used and to improve the product. This may include pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. We do not sell this data to third parties.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the Boardwell service
  • To send transactional emails (meeting reminders, digests, invitations)
  • To process payments via Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers)
  • To generate AI-powered features (meeting minutes, digests) using third-party AI providers
  • To improve the product based on anonymized usage patterns

  • Firebase (Google Cloud) — Authentication and database
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Resend — Email delivery
  • Anthropic — AI-powered features (meeting minutes generation)
  • PostHog — Product analytics
  • Vercel — Hosting

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your building, data is soft-deleted and permanently removed after 30 days. You can request full account deletion by contacting us at hello@boardwell.co.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. Your data is stored in Google Cloud infrastructure with built-in redundancy and encryption at rest.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Cookies
